Academic

Prior to joining Amgen in 2009, I spent a good few years hiding in the basements of universities trying to invent fancy microscopy technologies. Over time this page will grow to fully detail these activities, and will act as a repository for some of the software I wrote to support them. Check back soon!

University of St Andrews

From 2003 to 2007 I undertook my PhD in applied optics as part of the Optical Trapping Group at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, working under Professor Kishan Dholaia, Professor David McGloin and Professor Gabe Spalding.

You can find a list of my formal journal publications under the Publications tab on this site. You can download my PhD thesis Optical Sorting and Manipulation of Microparticles here.

In the (hopefully near) future I will update this section with more material covering the research I did during this era.
